Arrive in Jordan’s capital, Amman — a city of white stone, ancient ruins, and warm Middle Eastern charm. After your transfer to the hotel, take time to relax or explore at leisure. In the evening, meet your group over a welcome dinner and get a first taste of Jordanian hospitality.
Start the day with a city tour of Amman, visiting the Citadel, Roman Amphitheatre, and Archaeological Museum. Continue to Iraq al-Amir, where women from a local cooperative share their crafts and prepare a homemade lunch. In the afternoon, step back 2,000 years as you explore the Greco-Roman city of Jerash, one of the world’s best-preserved ancient cities. Return to Amman this evening for dinner.
Travel the historic King’s Highway today, stopping at Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have glimpsed the Promised Land. See the famous Byzantine mosaics of Madaba before continuing to the Crusader-era Shobak Castle. Arrive in Petra, the “Rose Red City,” and end the day with a Bedouin dinner under the desert night sky.
Walk through the narrow Siq, flanked by towering cliffs, and emerge at Petra’s Treasury — one of the world’s wonders. Explore its tombs, temples, and pink sandstone facades before journeying into Wadi Rum. Spend the night in a Bedouin camp, where golden sunsets and a sky full of stars make the desert come alive.
