After breakfast, set out on a scenic drive to Mount Aragats, the highest peak in Armenia. Visit the 7th-century Amberd Fortress, perched dramatically on the mountainside, and continue to the serene Kari Lake at 3,200 meters above sea level. Stop for photos, enjoy optional lunch at a local restaurant, and soak in panoramic views of snow-capped peaks. Return to Yerevan in the evening for free time to explore the city’s cozy winter streets or dine at your leisure.

Day 3: Discover Northern Armenia’s Cultural Treasures

Enjoy breakfast before departing for a full-day journey through Armenia’s history and natural beauty. Visit the ancient Garni Temple — the country’s only standing Greco-Roman structure — and the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, carved into the rock and steeped in legend. Continue to Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest alpine lakes, and climb to Sevanavank Monastery for breathtaking views. End the day in the resort town of Tsaghkadzor, where you’ll take a cable car ride for sweeping views of the valley. Return to Yerevan for an evening at leisure.

    Culture and History Combined

    Exploring Narikala Fortress, Metekhi Church, and the Chronicle of Georgia gave us a real sense of Tbilisi’s rich history. The guides were incredibly informative and made the city come alive.
