Wake up to the calls of howler monkeys and set off on a boat safari through Tortuguero’s lush waterways. Watch for sloths, toucans, caimans, and monkeys galore. Later, enjoy a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience as young local musicians treat you to Caribbean rhythms over dinner.
Say goodbye to Tortuguero and return to the mainland. In Horquetas, meet a local family at their palm plantation and learn how this exotic crop is cultivated sustainably. Tonight, it's pizza night – kids (and kids at heart) can roll dough and top their own pie in an open-air kitchen.
Lace up for a guided hike around the base of Arenal Volcano, followed by a stroll across hanging bridges suspended in the canopy. Then, enjoy a Be My Guest experience with Rodrigo and Ana Julia, who’ll share stories of the volcano's eruptions and serve a hearty lunch at their ranch. Spend your afternoon soaking in thermal springs or relaxing by the pool.
Ready for some adrenaline? Strap in and soar above the treetops on a zipline adventure (waiver required). Afterward, journey south to Manuel Antonio, where jungle meets the sea in one of Costa Rica’s most iconic national parks.
This morning, trek through Manuel Antonio National Park with your Travel Director and spot monkeys, birds, and maybe even a sleepy sloth or two. Then it’s beach time—sunbathe, swim, or opt for a kayak or boat tour. Tonight, celebrate with a Farewell Dinner and toast to your epic week.
Pack your memories (and maybe a few souvenirs) as you transfer back to San José for your journey home. Airport arrival is at approximately 11:00 AM—make sure your flights line up!
