Day 3: Kazbegi and Gudauri Mountain Adventure

Start your morning with breakfast before journeying along the spectacular Georgian Military Highway. Visit Ananuri Fortress overlooking the shimmering Jinvali Reservoir, then continue to Gudauri, a famous ski and mountain resort where you’ll see the awe-inspiring Friendship Monument. Travel onward to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), where a 4x4 ride (weather permitting) will take you to the hilltop Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,170 meters above sea level. Marvel at the panoramic views of Mount Kazbek and the snow-clad Caucasus before returning to Tbilisi in the evening.

    The trip to Gergeti Trinity Church was breathtaking. Seeing Mount Kazbek covered in snow from the hilltop was surreal—definitely a highlight of our winter holiday in Georgia.
