Kick off your journey with a special Be My Guest experience hosted by Tracey Klettl of Painted Warriors. She’ll share Indigenous traditions like archery, horsemanship, and foraging — and you’ll even join her for a guided walk and a flavorful lunch inspired by nature. Then it’s on to Waterton Lakes National Park, a UNESCO site where glacier-carved lakes, wildflowers, and rugged Rockies collide in perfect harmony.

Cross the border into Montana and travel to Glacier National Park, the “Crown of the Continent.” Meet Mariah Gladstone, a Blackfeet and Cherokee community member, for storytelling and history on her ancestral land — a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Then climb aboard a vintage 1930s red “jammer” bus and wind your way along the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road, past valleys, cirques, and over the Continental Divide at Logan Pass (seasonal).

Take in one of North America’s most jaw-dropping drives: the Icefields Parkway. Along the way, stop at Peyto Lake, famous for its surreal turquoise glow, before boarding a massive Ice Explorer vehicle to roll across the Athabasca Glacier. Sip pure glacier water, breathe in crisp alpine air, and soak up views of snowcapped peaks before continuing on to Jasper.

Begin witha walk through the dramatic cliffs of Maligne Canyon (currently closed for safety after 2024 wildfires — updates pending). If open, learn how the rushing river carved this gorge over millennia. Optional adventures today include a scenic Maligne Lake cruise to Spirit Island (seasonal) or a relaxing float down the Athabasca River, once used by fur traders. In the afternoon, enjoy free time in Jasper’s cozy mountain town.
