Arrive in Spain’s vibrant capital and meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers. Get a taste of Madrid with a city orientation, taking in Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and the grand boulevards that define this lively metropolis. Enjoy a welcome dinner together. Arrival/Meet: Airport transfers available at 10:00 and 13:00. Meet your Travel Director at 15:00.
Join a local expert for a guided sightseeing tour. Visit the Royal Palace and see the Prado Museum before spending your afternoon at leisure — perhaps strolling through Retiro Park or exploring Madrid’s café culture.
Travel south to the walled city of Toledo, once the heart of medieval Spain. Visit the Church of Santo Tomé, famous for El Greco’s masterpiece, before continuing to Granada, where Moorish history and Spanish elegance intertwine.
This morning, explore Granada’s Alhambra Palace — a masterpiece of Islamic art and architecture. Then journey toward the sparkling Costa del Sol, where palm-lined promenades meet the Mediterranean Sea.
Enjoy a free day to unwind by the sea or discover nearby Marbella. From tapas bars to beachside cafés, take your pick of the coast’s many delights.
Cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry to Tangier — the gateway between Europe and Africa. Explore the old medina and lively souks filled with spice, leather, and lanterns.
Venture into the Rif Mountains to visit Chefchaouen, Morocco’s enchanting “Blue Pearl.” Wander its narrow streets, admire its indigo walls, and soak in the mountain serenity before returning to Tangier for the night.
Return by ferry to Spain and journey through Andalusia to Seville — the city of orange blossoms, flamenco, and Gothic grandeur.
Take a guided tour through Seville’s highlights — the magnificent Cathedral, the Giralda Bell Tower, and the Plaza de España. The rest of the day is yours to wander through hidden courtyards or catch an evening flamenco performance.
